I am excited to announce I am adding Olympic National Park to the retreat line-up in 2023! Olympic is one of the most diverse National Parks there is. It is home to some of the most beautiful rugged coastline, tropical rainforests, mountains, waterfalls, lakes and more! There is so much to see and photograph.

WHAT – Four Night, Five Day Photography Retreat (ladies only)
WHEN – August 16th – 20th, 2023
WHERE – Olympic National Park in Washington
COST – $3295 single occupancy (2 available )private room, shared bathroom
$2850 double occupancy (6 available) two beds in one room, shared bathroom
REGISTRATION: Will open to alumni on November 1st, 2022 at 8 AM CST. General Registration will open on November 4th, 2022 at 8 AM CST.
The remaing money is due 60 days before retreat start date.
TOPICS COVERED – Manual mode, exposure, composition, light, self-portraits, long exposure, composites. Editing videos will be made available after the trip, along with image critiques.
GROUP SIZE – 8 students, 1 instructor, 1 assistant
EXPERIENCE – This course is for all levels. Both beginners and advanced photographers will walk away with new skills.
ENDURANCE – Students should expect moderate activity. We will be doing at least 2 hikes that range in length from 2-4 miles.
GEAR – Recommended gear requirements are a DSLR or mirrorless camera, camera bag, tripod, filters, wide-angle lens with a large aperture, and zoom lens. A full list with details and specific products will be emailed to you.
LODGING – I have a large VRBO home rented in the town of Forks, WA and a small cottage as well.
TRAVEL – Seattle Tacoma International Airport is the closest airport. From there it is a 3 hour 2o minute drive to Forks, WA where we are staying. You are responsible for getting yourself to Forks and back to the airport. Transportation during the workshop will be provided.
ITINERARY – Home base for this retreat is in the town of Forks, WA. We will explore the rugged beaches, mountains, waterfalls, lakes, and tropical rainforests of Olympic National Park.
The retreat will start the afternoon of the 16th. Check-in will be between 4-5. After that, we will head out to photograph sunset. Retreat ends on the morning of the 20th.
WHATS INCLUDED – 4 nights stay. Continental breakfast foods. All needed permits, along with photography instruction and fun planned outings. Facebook group for students. Course workbook. A complimentary 20×30 canvas from our sponsor at Pro Prints.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED – Airfare, car rental, travelers insurance, meals and drinks besides breakfast, and admission to any other locations we visit. I HIGHLY reccomend trip insurance.

DOWN PAYMENT – $1000, the remainder must be paid within 60 days of the workshop.
