Midwest Flower Photography Workshop
Join Sarah Gupta, an acclaimed natural light photographer, for an immersive flower photography workshop at Berry and Bloom, a picturesque flower farm in Southeast Minnesota. Sarah, known for her expertise in macro photography will guide students through the intricate art of capturing the delicate beauty of flowers. Participants will learn the fundamentals of macro photography, various creative techniques, and photo editing (post-workshop).
Additionally, the workshop will offer a unique segment on astrophotography and (skies permitting), helping students explore the night sky’s beauty amidst the vibrant blooms. This workshop promises to be a blend of technical skill-building and creative exploration, set in the serene and inspiring environment of Berry and Bloom.

COST – $350
WHAT’S INCLUDED – 8 Hours of photography instruction. Private Facebook Group. Post-workshop editing session. Admission to Berry and Bloom. Bottled water.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED – Picnic lunch, transportation, lodging.
TOPICS COVERED – Exposure, composition, light, and creative techniques. Editing videos will be made available after the trip, along with image critiques.
GROUP SIZE – 8 Students, 1 instructor
EXPERIENCE – This workshop is open to all experience levels.
ENDURANCE – Light walking and standing.
GEAR – Recommended gear requirements are a DSLR or mirrorless camera, camera bag, tripod, wide-angle lens with large aperture, lens in the 50-100mm focal distance range.
LODGING – If you have a far drive to the area you could look into hotels in Rochester, MN.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Sarah lives in Rochester, Minnesota with her husband, son and a few furry kids. She is a natural light photographer who uses dark and light contrasts to create depth. Sarah is drawn to environmental portraiture, lifestyle photography, fine art, nature and loves layering color and tones to create soft transitions in her imagery. Sarah is attracted to the light, which was used by painters of the golden age. Her passion for painting and drawing was discovered through photography. You can find how she captures her daily life via her Instagram account: @sarahkossakgupta. In 2017 she became a Click Pro and in 2018 a Click & Company mentor and instructor. In the spring of 2019, Sarah released her first eBook: The Art of The Photograph. She is currently in the process of writing her next eBook, Paint Your Story: A Photographic Journey to Creating Your Own Authentic Self. Currently, Sarah is an instructor with Women’s Photography Circle and has a 4-week workshop called, The Unseen World: Exploring Macro Photography.
