Itinerary
Sunrises at 6:40 AM
Sunsets at 8 PM
Day 1:
- Arrival day – check in at 4 pm to hotel
- Field session on how to use neutral density filters.
- Sunset Bandon Beach
Day 2:
- Sunrise at Coquille River Lighthouse
- Shores Acres State Park Gardens – Flower/Macro Photography
- Wander historic Bandon, shop and eat
- Photo Pills Info Session
- Sunset Bandon Beach
- Astrophotography Bandon Beach (weather permitting)
Day 3:
- Optional sunrise shoot at Bandon Beach
- Eat breakfast and start our journey south.
- Cape Blanco Lighthouse
- Lunch somewhere along the way
- Battle Rock Wayside
- Check in to bed and breakfast
- Sunset Cape Sebastion State Scenic Corridor
Day 4:
- Sunrise and tide pools Harris Beach State Park
- Field session on portraits and self-portraits at the bed and breakfast.
- Arch Rock and Natural Bridges
- Sunset Whaleshead Beach
Day 5:
- Redwoods day! We will leave a little later today and head to the Redwood National Park.
- Battery Point Lighthouse
- Photograph the seals in Crescent City
- Sunset Cape Sebastion Scenic Corridor
- Astrophotography
Day 6:
- Depending on the tide and weather we will either do another sunrise on the beach or head back to the Redwoods.
- Lunch in Brookings
- Downtime at the bed and breakfast
- Sunset at Secret Beach
Day 7:
- Breakfast
- Farewell to all our new friends we made!

What to Expect
Students can expect to shoot most sunrises and sunsets every day. We will spend 1-2 nights photographing the stars. We will work with filters, long exposures, ICM, compositions, self-portraits, and more. Editing videos will be made available after the workshop along with image feedback.
A photographers Paradise
Where Will We Go?
We will explore Bandon Beach for 2 days before we head south to the incredibly stunning coastline of Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor in Brookings, where we will stay for the next 5 days. We will venture south to explore Redwood National Park.
Lodging
We will start the workshop in Bandon, Oregon where we will stay 2 nights. Lodging will be in a hotel that is within walking distance to the beach. TBD soon. Everyone will have their own hotel room the first 2 nights.
Next we will head south where we will be staying in Gold Beach, Oregon in a bed and breakfast. This place has it’s own waterfall, treehouse, farm animals, 2 hottubs, sauna, gym, game room, creek, gardens and more. Plenty of photo ops to be had right on the property. Here we will have 4 private rooms, 4 shared occupancy rooms (2 people max per room) and an open concept tree house (2 beds – semi private). Rooms are available at different price points. Our stay here includes home-cooked breakfast.

What is the nearest major airport?
The nearest major airport is in Portland (PDX). From here it is about a 6-hour drive. Smaller closer airports can be found in Eugene, OR, Medford, OR, and Arcata/Eureka, CA.
Instructor
Beth Mancuso
Beth is a Minnesota-based nature photographer. Her work has been featured by National Geographic, Huff Post, ABC News, Midwest Living, Sony, Tamron, Outdoor Photographer and more.
She was the winner of Sony’s female landscape photography contest and placed second in the Great American Landscape contest by Outdoor Photographer. Beth is an official Nat Geo Yourshot photographer and was featured on the Nat Geo Channel on the TV show Assignment Inspiration.
Beth is a permit carrier for National Parks and Forests. She is also CPR & Wilderness First Aid certified.
