Wisconsin Photography Workshop – Waterfalls at Amnicon State Park
Join us for an unforgettable waterfall photography workshop at Amnicon Falls State Park led by the talented instructor Jen Falkofske. This workshop is perfect for photography enthusiasts of all levels who are eager to refine their skills and capture the mesmerizing beauty of cascading waterfalls in a stunning natural setting.
Amnicon State Park is home to 4 named waterfalls and numerous rapids and outstanding views!
What to Expect:
- Learn essential techniques for capturing the stunning beauty of waterfalls in varying light and weather conditions.
- Learn how to use neutral density filters to slow down the movement of the water and get silky smooth images.
- Gain hands-on experience and personalized instruction from Jen Falkofske, a seasoned photographer with a passion for capturing the raw power and tranquility of nature.
- Explore the park’s picturesque landscapes and discover unique vantage points for creating breathtaking waterfall compositions.
- Connect with like-minded individuals and share your passion for photography in a supportive and inspiring environment.
WHEN – October 11th, 2024, 8 AM – 4 PM
WHERE – Amnicon Falls State Park, South Range, WI
COST – $300
WHAT’S INCLUDED – 8 Hours of photography instruction. Private Facebook Group.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED – Admission to the park and lunch.
TOPICS COVERED – Manual mode, exposure, composition, light, self-portraits, long exposures, ND filters. Editing videos will be made available after the trip, along with image critiques.
GROUP SIZE – 6 Students, 1 instructor
EXPERIENCE – This workshop is open to all experience levels.
ENDURANCE – Students should expect light hiking. Please note that you will be climbing over rocks, if you aren’t super steady on your feet I recommend hiking poles.
GEAR – Recommended gear requirements are a DSLR or mirrorless camera, camera bag, tripod, ND filters, wide-angle lens.
Please get a pack of ND filters with a ND 8, ND 64, and ND 1000.
DO NOT buy a variable ND filter, they leave terrible vignettes.
LODGING – If you have a far drive to the area you could look into hotels in Superior, WI.

$100 deposit to reserve your spot. Remainder is due 60 days prior to workshop.
