Itinerary
Students can expect to shoot sunsets and most sunrises. Most days will have a break built into them to recharge.
We will spend one night photographing the stars. The day after our nighttime adventure we will sleep in and have a day time adventure planned.
We will work with filters, long exposures, ICM, compositions, intimate landscapes, and more.

Where Will We Go?
Students can plan on seeing all the famous sites in Joshua Tree National Park like Cholla Cactus Garden, Jumbo Rocks, Keys View, Skull Rock, Hidden Valley, and more. Potential day trips include Pioneer Town and Glass Outhouse Art Gallery.
Lodging
Desert Oasis
We stay in 2 vacation homes right next door to each other. Each home has a hot tub, outdoor living space, kitchen, living room, and entertainment space.
INSTRUCTOR
Beth Young
Beth Young is a Sacramento, California-based landscape photographer passionate about capturing uplifting images of nature that endeavor to communicate the therapeutic effects of photography, both for the photographer and the viewer.
Through capturing exquisite light, design, and dynamics for enduring landscape images, she seeks to create imagery that conjures feelings of hope, healing, and renewal with an emphasis on wellness and the human experience.
Her work is featured in hospitals, clinics, cancer centers, psychiatric facilities and elder care communities throughout California and beyond for such clients as Dignity Health, Kaiser Permanente, UC Davis Medical Center, Sutter Health, and more. As an Evidenced Based Design (EDAC) certified, and licensed architect, she has a unique understanding of the technical aspects of artwork in clinical settings, and evidence based principles in landscape photography.

What is the nearest major airport?
The nearest major airport is in Palm Springs (PSP) from there it is about an hour’s drive. The other option is Los Angeles (LAX) which is 2.5 hour’s drive.
