WHAT – Four Night, Five Day Photography Retreat (ladies only)

TOPICS COVERED – Manual mode, exposure, composition, light, self-portraits, long exposure, composites. Editing videos will be made available after the trip, along with image critiques.
GROUP SIZE – 8 students, 1 instructor
EXPERIENCE – This course is for all levels. Both beginners and advanced photographers will walk away with new skills.
ENDURANCE – Students should expect moderate activity. We will be doing at least 2 hikes that range in length from 2-4 miles.
GEAR – Recommended gear requirements are a DSLR or mirrorless camera, camera bag, tripod, filters, wide-angle lens with a large aperture, and zoom lens. A full list with details and specific products will be emailed to you.
LODGING – To best explore the park we will be staying in three different hotels. 2 nights at Kaloloch Lodge, 1 night at Lake Crescent, 1 night in a hotel in Port Angeles (TBD).
TRAVEL – Seattle Tacoma International Airport is the closest airport. From there it is a 3-hour drive to Kaloloch Lodge where we are staying the first 2 nights. You are responsible for getting yourself to the lodge and back to the airport. We will end the retreat in Port Angeles, which is 2.5 hours from the airport. We will carpool during the workshop.
ITINERARY – We will be staying the first 2 nights at Kaloloch Lodge, then one night at Lake Crescent, followed by our last night in Port Angeles. We will explore the rugged beaches, mountains, waterfalls, lakes, and tropical rainforests of Olympic National Park.
The retreat will start the afternoon of the 4th. Check-in will be between 4-5. After that, we will head out to photograph the sunset. The retreat ends on the morning of the 8th.
