About the Instructors
Beth Mancuso
Beth Mancuso is a Minnesota-based landscape and travel photographer. Beth got her first DSLR back in 2009 as a way to document her children so that they would have these memories to look back on. She fell in love with the creative process! Her love soon turned into a portrait business. She has photographed countless families and seniors over the years. She ran this business for ten years before closing up shop and starting new ventures. As her children aged and grew tired of her camera she switched subjects. It is at this time that she became obsessed with photographing this great big world. There is nothing she loves more than exploring and photographing new places. From there she has branched out into teaching landscape workshops and online courses. Beth is also the founder of Women’s Photography Circle an online community for female photographers.
She is an official National Geographic Your Shot Photographer. Her work has been featured by Nat Geo, Huff Post, Sony, Tamron, Outdoor Photographer, ABC News, Midwest Living and more! You can find more of her work on Instagram.
Hope Pashos
Hope has embraced the digital medium after shooting on film since she was a child. Her specialties are nature, landscapes, and astrophotography. She loves to photograph the world around her, but focuses on New England and its shores and abundant waterfalls.
Hope’s passion is to share her knowledge with others. A former Pro and Genius with Apple, Hope has been able to teach iPhoneography and develop techniques with the iPhone for both taking and editing photographs. She developed one of the first iPhone photography workshops, teaching her signature macro technique on an iPhone 4. As the iPhone camera developed, so too did her techniques. With the built-in capabilities of the newest iPhones and additional attachment lenses, Hope can now photograph any type of subject, under any conditions. And using a combination of the latest mobile editing apps, she is able to digitally process her images – both from her phone and from her full-sized Sony camera – while on the go. Hope was recently accepted into the Photography Atelier run by the Griffin Museum of Photography.
Hope lives north of Boston with her husband. You can see her work on Instagram at @seewithhope
